Lily has had nonstop nightmares for weeks. They started suddenly, with no probable cause, and depict the same things every time: her on her bike with five others being chased in the local forest by... something. She has never peeked a glance at it, and she does not want to.
Except for last night. All her dream was a gnarled tree in the middle of a clearing. Something in her brain clocked its location, and Lily can't get rid of the feeling that she needs to go see it. The image of the tree... it's burned into her skull. For that, she has decided: after school she is biking to that tree.
