Patterson Selix

Biography

Patterson Selix was born around 1835 in Ohio, USA to David Selix and Delilah Curtis.

In the 1850 census, he lived at Blue Rock, Muskingum Co., Ohio, USA, where hew as a farmer.

From Nov. 1861 to Apr. 1862, he was a member of the A 38th Ohio Infantry as a private. He was enlisted in Edgerton, Ohio and was discharged in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In 1863, he was draft registered for the Civil War. He resided in Milford, Defiance Co., Ohio, USA as a farmer.

From 1864-10-06 to 1865-10-16, he was a member of the C 41st Ohio Infantry as a private. He was enlisted in Edgerton, Ohio and was discharged in San Antonio, Texas.

On 1867-01-11, he married Rachel Mochmar in Defiance Co., Ohio, USA.

In the 1870 Census, he lived in Union Township, DeKalb Co., Indiana, USA.

In the 1880 Census, he lived in Union Township, Whitley Co., Indiana, USA, where he worked as a farm laborer.

In 1908, he resided in Fort Wayne, Allen Co., Indiana, USA.

By the time of his death, he resided at the National Military Home Indiana.

On 1912-11-30, he was found dead outside the National Military Home Indiana, Grant Co., Indiana, USA, for unknown reasons but most likely heart disease.

On 1912-12-02, he was buried in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Grant Co., Indiana, USA.
